BACCHUS HILL WINERY STRIKES GOLD AGAIN!

Gold for Bacchus Hill Winery's 2006 Shiraz and 2006 Cabernet Sauvignon ...

NOW a Gold Medal from the 2009 New Zealand International Wine Show, for our 2006 Sangiovese!

We are extremely proud of this Gold Award from this most prestigious of wine shows.

Our patrons have always enjoyed this most versatile wine. Now it seems the “Kiwi's” are into it as well!

Bacchus Hill Winery's 2006 Vintage is proving to me a most remarkable year.

SHIRAZ SUCCESS - More Awards!!

Following close on our recent success with Gold Awards for our 2006 Shiraz and 2006 Cabernet Sauvignon, we feel compelled to let you know about the overwhelming success of our 2006 Shiraz at the 2008 Ballarat Wine Show held on the 14^th September.

Our 2006 Shiraz took out three Trophies in the Regional Wine Section of the show:

1. The “Oliver Footwear Trophy” for the “ BEST WINE OF FEATURED VARIETY – SHIRAZ”
2. The “Ballarat Meat Company Trophy” for the “BEST RED TABLE WINE”
3. The “John Robb Memorial Trophy” for the “ BEST SHIRAZ – REGIONAL CLASS”

It also took out the MAJOR AWARD for the overall Victoria Wine Section and Regional Wine Section – “The Ray Mackay Gold Sovereign Trophy” for the “BEST TABLE WINE IN THE SHOW”!!!! This magnificent result at the Show is extremely important to our winery. It cements our Shiraz as a top quality wine. The awards were achieved in only our second vintage. Our First Vintage, the 2005 Shiraz took out the Silver Award at an earlier Ballarat Wine Show. The achievement of three Gold Awards to date this year, will help the marketing effort of our winery immensely. In recognition of our achievements we are already receiving expressions of interesst in our wines from prestigious restaurants and licensed outlets. Our achievements consolidate the well justified reputation of our Sunbury Wine Region and Bacchus Marsh as a great agricultural centre just on the outskirts of Melbourne. We feel confident that Bacchus Hill Winery is now well and truly on the Wine Industry Map and it looks forward to the future with a great deal of optimism.
