At Bacchus Hill Winery we pride ourselves in sourcing only the freshest possible produce, and keeping the food kilometres low. We grow our own olives, apples, pears, plums, apricots, prickly pears, tomatoes, capsicum, beans, potatoes, herbs, zucchinis, pumpkins and other seasonal produce.
We currently have a herd of about 23 boar goats.
We also raise our pigs, usually wessex saddlebacks.
The produce we cannot use fresh is skillfully preserved by our chef, and these items are then sold through our cellar door.
We have green, blush and black olives available for picking, April – June most years All our olives are eating varieties only, We grow manzanillo, barouini, kalamata, jumbo kalamata, colossus kalamanta and many other varietes.
We also offer ‘U Pick‘ – come along and pick your own Olives, as well as our Prickly Pears.
